Watching the Hairy Bikers in Cornwall on TV the other night, reminded me about pasties.
I have eaten many a pasty and many things purporting to be a pasty. Here are my 3 favourites:
No.1, without a doubt, it’s got to be Aunt Avice’s pasties. Find the shop on the A39 at St Kew Highway, between Costcutters and the garage kiosk. They also make very tasty ham & egg pies! And lovely cakes!
No.2, it’s Pengenna pasties, with retail outlets at Bude, Tintagel and St Ives. They are huge!
No.3, it’s Malcolm Barnecutts pasties. I get them from the Post Office & stores at Wainhouse Corner, on the A39 between Bude & Camelford, but they are also available from Bodmin, Boscastle, Launceston, Liskeard, Padstow, Rock, St Austell and Wadebridge.
